The St. Pölten to Linz railway is a crucial segment of Austria's railway network, providing an essential connection between two significant cities in the country. The route connects St. Pölten, the capital of Lower Austria, with Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Covering 190 km this electrified double track is one of the major arteries of the Austrian network carrying passenger and freight services daily.

Recreated in authentic detail by RSSLO for Train Simulator the route features 26 stations, picturesque landscapes and significant landmarks. Travel from St. Pölten with its Baroque cathedral, through the vineyards of the Wachau valley (a UNESCO World Heritage site), past historic villages, and along the Danube river as you head into Linz.

You can take in these views from the cab of the ÖBB 1116 ‘Taurus’. This is included with the route along with a selection of appropriate rolling stock. ÖBB Bmpz carriages for passenger duties and a variety of freight wagons including Snps, Shimmns and Habbins. The loco and rolling stock are used across the five included Career Scenarios.
