Explore the east side of Austria from Wien (Vienna) to Payerbach with this Train Simulator route from RSSLO.
Featuring 28 stations this route offers lots to see as you drive along the line. Start at bustling capital Wien Hbf and pass through urban neighbourhoods glimpsing the architecture of the city before heading out into the scenic Austrian countryside. Pass forests, rivers and historic quaint villages. Notable stops along the route include Mödling at the entrance to the Brühl Valley, Wiener Neustadt which is famous for one of the world’s oldest military academies, and the popular railfan town of Gloggnitz set in breathtaking mountain scenery. At the other end of the line arrive at the idyllic Alpine village and Payerbach-Reichenau station.
On this route you will be taking control of the ÖBB 1116 ‘Taurus’. Based on the Eurosprinter this electric is used for passenger and freight duties along the line. A suitable selection of rolling stock is included for this task, including three types of ÖBB coaches and three types of freight wagons. Five Career scenarios included with the route will test your driving skills as you try to keep to time on ÖBB Regional Express (REX) services.
